PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it.
That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten

"The Unknown" is a masterpiece. Schwadorf and Konstanz have once again succeeded in shrouding the listener in an atmosphere of mystery, melancholy, and dread. Also, this album appears to be an emotional journey. I know that I found myself relating to the lyrics. The music itself is also diverse. "The Whine of the Cemetery Hound" is doleful whilst the interlude "Who May Oppose Me" is quite hopeful. "Kindred of the Sunset" is also a really fun song, and I found myself connecting with it. It's haunting. It's chaos. It's energy. It's fatigue. It's happiness. It's sadness. It's love. It's hate. This is close to the perfect black metal album for me. Marcello Velasco
